About Me

Photography & art has been a way for me to clear my mind.

In 2010, I was diagnosed with a large malignant brain tumor which changed my perception of life. I underwent my first brain surgery that caused memory and speech issues that I had to overcome. After a year and a half went by, I was once again diagnosed with the regrowth of my tumor.

I underwent a second brain surgery in September of 2012 followed by 6 and ½ weeks of brain radiation in an effort to keep it at bay, as well as a third in April of 2018 followed with chemo.

Amongst it all, photography and combining that with painting is where I have found my serenity in life, catching the beauty and amazement of animals and the wondrous earth of which they reside. Brain cancer has shown me how quickly life can change, how short it can be, and to follow your true passions which is what I attempt to do on a daily basis. With that, I am trying to share the beauty of life with others through my view of art.

A documentary I made showing my re-diagnosis, surgery and life afterwards can be found at
